Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a focused bodywork technique used to relieve pain and tension caused by tight, overactive muscle knots known as trigger points. It best serves individuals experiencing chronic muscle pain, tension headaches, or limited range of motion.

• A targeted massage approach that locates and releases tight areas in muscles causing referred pain elsewhere in the body.
• Applies sustained pressure to "knots" or hyperirritable spots to deactivate them and restore normal muscle function.
• Reduces chronic tension, alleviates pain, and improves mobility and posture.
• Often used to treat conditions like TMJ dysfunction, sciatica, frozen shoulder, and tension headaches.
• May involve some mild discomfort, but the relief and improved function afterward are significant.

Trigger Point Therapy is a precise, therapeutic technique that addresses specific points within muscle tissue that can radiate pain to other areas—commonly known as referred pain. These trigger points can develop from stress, overuse, poor posture, or injury. During a session, therapists apply slow, focused pressure to these areas, helping to release tension, interrupt pain patterns, and restore balance in the muscular system. While some pressure points may be tender, the outcome is typically a profound release and improved range of motion.
