What kind of pressure can I expect to receive?  

My baseline is firm, medium-to-deep pressure, but we'll listen to your body, breath, and communication to find what suits you best! I'll check in, and you can adjust the pressure at any time.

What modalities do you use the most?  

My sessions are built on targeted deep tissue work, blended with long integrative strokes to ground your whole system. To release any tension held in your connective tissue and nervous system, I'll also bring in specialized techniques like myofascial release, trigger point, neuromuscular techniques, and Reiki.

I'm especially passionate about adapting effective bodywork to clients needing support with EDS/hypermobility, or during / after cancer treatment.  

What got you into bodywork?  

Bodywork has always helped me care for my own chronic pain and mental health, but I only understood how transformative touch can be after seeing the massage therapist on my grandma's hospice team tend to her with such deep care. I do this work in her honor, and I love being a partner as people release layers of tension, regain range of motion, and reconnect with what wellness means to them.

I believe in ripple effects: you taking care of yourself ripples out into your work, your relationships, and your community. As activist Grace Lee Boggs said, "The only way to survive is by taking care of each other," and I'm so grateful that this job lets me be part of your circle of care :)

What other elements of your life do you bring to your bodywork?  

I'm a volunteer massage therapist with Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, a nonprofit providing free integrative care to low-income cancer patients. My grounded presence and commitment to care are rooted in my Quaker upbringing, and I'm also a writer and artist.
